MANILA, Philippines—The Yamagata Wyverns made easy work of the Kumamoto Volters in the Japanese B.League, 100-84, at Yamagata City General Sports Center on Sunday.
The Wyverns drew contributions from Filipino import Roosevelt Adams, who made the most of his 17 minutes of action with seven points and three rebounds without missing any of his three shots from the field.

However, it was James Bell and Timothy Holyfield who made the biggest difference for Yamagata with 19 and 16 points, respectively, to push the squad to a 6-9 record.

The Volters turned to Kihei Clark, who finished with a 32-point and seven-assist outing but to no avail.
Meanwhile, Geo Chiu wasn’t so lucky as his Ehime Orange Vikings fell victim to the Kobe Storks, 101-81, at Kobe City Central Gymnasium.

Chiu was used sparingly in just eight minutes but managed to end up with two points and two rebounds in the loss that brought the Orange Vikings to an abysmal 1-14 card.

Terrance King’s double-double for Ehime was also put to waste as he finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds.
Chaundee Brown Jr. powered Kobe in the win with 24 points, six rebounds and six assists while Morris Udeze also helped the cause for the Storks with 13 points and six rebounds.
