Sletba Youth scores perfect game at 26th Sletba Open

Anton Luis Barredo of the Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) Youth team scored a perfect game in the qualifying rounds Thursday of the ongoing 26th Sletba-Liza Zapanta Open Championships.

Barredo, 21, rolled the 300 game on lanes 21-22 using a 15-pound Venom ball by Motiv. This is the second career perfect game for Barredo, who is also in the national pool.

“I’m thankful for this gift; it’s a big blessing,” said the promising bowler who stands to receive a special cash prize for his feat.

The Sletba Open being held at the Sta. Lucia East Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal, started last Saturday. Various associations affiliated with the Philippine Bowling Federation are participating in this annual tournament.

There are seven divisions being contested—Mixed Open Masters, Mixed Classified Masters, Men’s Senior Open, Men’s Senior Associate, Ladies, Mixed Youth, and Mixed Rising Stars.

The finals will start on Friday and end on Sunday with the Mixed Open Masters that will feature players from the national team.
